Every Beta has a story. Every Beta is passionate about the reasons he joined the organization or continues to devote his time and treasure. While space prevents us from sharing each and every brother's story, below is a representative sample of just some of the great stories and feelings of membership in Beta Theta Pi.
"Joining Beta Theta Pi as an undergrad was the highlight of my college career. The leadership experience and friendships established are certain to last a lifetime."
- Christopher DiNapoli '09
Founding Father
"Beta Theta Pi. These three Greek letters meant nothing to me [at the beginning]. Now, the letters mean more to me than I ever would have guessed. They stand for comfort, friendship, trust, loyalty, respect, joy, laughter, and brotherhood. Beta Theta Pi is simply awesome, and if you let it, it can be a huge positive force in your life."

"From pledge class and retreat to different service events with the brothers, I feel extremely lucky to say that my pledge process was an incredible experience. The entire pledge process really opened my eyes to many things I never knew about my brothers, the chapter at John Carroll, and Greek Life in general. I can't wait to make the most out of my time as a Beta member, and I look forward to influencing future [new members] as these active members have done for me."

"As I look at all of the brothers, I see these men being the people I go to when my life goes to shambles, the people who I can have complete confidence in, and the people I see being friends for the rest of my life. With Beta, I am home."
- Markus Creachbaum '15
Eta Class
"As a freshman, Beta made my transition into college a very smooth one. I have met a group of gentlemen that believe in the same values as I do and have made lifelong friends along the way."
- Dan Imfeld '13
Delta Class
"I have finally discovered the group of friends with whom I have so much in common: a strong dedication to academics, devotion to the service of others, acknowledgement of the call to be leaders of the community, willingness to live up to a set of principles, and the ability to enjoy life. I have been making and will continue to make unforgettable memories."
- Nick Skiviat '12

"If you told me that I would join a fraternity in my senior year of college, I would have thought you were crazy. For me, I had already accumulated a base of friends and didn't know what void a fraternity could fill in my life. I then met most of the members of Beta Theta Pi and realized each one, although unique in personality, shared many similar aspects of character. It was at this point that I made the decision to join, one that will affect and has already affected my life."
- Jeff Bartolozzi '10
Delta Class
"Beta has given me lifelong friendships and connections that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I have become a better man through this fraternity and have found myself a family away from home."
- Andy Lane '12
Beta Class
"My experience with Beta has provided me with the opportunity to surround myself with extraordinary gentlemen who are united in principle. Our shared values here at John Carroll have allowed us to break the negative stereotypes of a fraternity while enabling us to live out the Three Great Principles to the fullest."
- Kurt Hauber '10
Founding Father
"I see Beta as more of a family because we can keep each other on the right track, help a brother in need, and praise a brother when he accomplishes a goal. I know that Beta will continue being the most positive influence I have at school and continue to be in the future."
- Troy Murphy '14

"Something I thought I would never do, Beta has not only become an organization I'm involved in, but among the best decisions I've made thus far in my college career."
- Mark Ehrbar '12
Delta Class
"The experience of the pledge service project made me realize that the fraternity I was in was one of leadership. We took the initiative to help those who need it more than anyone. In addition, the fact that active members joined us on our service trip made me realize that the 'men of principle' was not just an act during the pledge period but this truly was one part of the mission of Beta Theta Pi."
- Paul Mullin '15
Eta Class
"Beta has scarred my life, leaving a distinguishing and unique mark with an amazing story about building a foundation, overcoming challenges, creating lifelong friendships, and raising the bar."
- Doug Gault '09
Founding Father
"I realize already that joining [Beta Theta Pi] was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made in my entire life. I could continue on and on about how this fraternity has already made a difference in my life. Some things I just cannot put into words...from retreat where I was able to learn so much about my fellow [Epsilon Class] members and had a blast, to even Greek Week where I almost completely lost my voice cheering for my fellow brothers. All of these events have left a huge mark on my life and I know I will never forget them or my brothers. Beta Theta Pi is truly more than those misleading stereotypes and subjective views, and it takes being a part of it to realize how much it can impact a person."
