  • Brother Nick Orlando '11 is the first member of our chapter to get married; weds Katie Saporito on June 24 with many chapter brothers in attendance
  • It's reported that Eta Epsilon remains first in grades for all fraternities for Spring 2010
  • Dan Imfeld '13, John Jackson '13, Ben Rossi '13, Christopher Shaheen '12, and Nick Skiviat '12 all receive Beta Theta Pi Merit Scholarships; only Miami University (OH) had more recipients of a scholarship this year
  • John Jackson '13 and Andy Lane '12 represent JCU at the 172nd General Convention in Seattle, Washington; bring home North Dakota Award for Excellence in Chapter Publications, Website Excellence Award, and the chapter's first Francis H. Sisson Award for Chapter Excellence
  • JCU faculty member Scott Allen appointed to a second three-year term as vice president on Board of Trustees
  • Nick Skiviat '12 assumes IFC presidency after former president resigns
  • Beta's new residence hall floor in Hamlin Hall debuts
  • Markus Creachbaum and Freddy Keppler receive Men of Principle Scholarships
  • Andy Lane '12 kept the streak alive of Betas on Homecoming Court
  • Junior John Jackson named to serve on the retreat team for Manresa 20
  • Brothers do some fundraising during a weekend at Cedar Point
  • Beta Theta Pi receives JCU Fraternity of the Year honors at Student Organization Academy Awards; senior Greg Sloat named one of the Student Leaders of the Year
  • Nick Skiviat '12 and Brian Pestotnik '12 named "Greek of the Week" at different points this semester
  • Tim Ficke '15 elected to Student Union Class of 2015 Senate
  • The Eta Class, composed of 14 members (the largest pledge class in chapter's history), is initiated in the Hall of Chapters on the grounds of the Administrative Office (AO); chapter engages in first overnight initiation trip and tours Oxford and the AO the next morning
  • Senior Greg Sloat inducted into Order of Omega
  • Four Betas inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu (Dan Imfeld '13, Ben Rossi '13, Nick Skiviat '12, and Kyle Sobh '12G)
  • Partnership with Circle K continues as Beta Theta Pi co-sponsors Through the Eyes of a Child, bringing more than 115 elementary-age children to campus for this Christmas-time favorite
  • Most of the brothers volunteer at Milestones Autism Organization's annual comedy event at Pickwick & Frolic
  • John Jackson '13 elected to a second term as chapter president
  • Matt Ansec '15 and Markus Creachbaum '15 elected to 2012 IFC Executive Board; Ansec will serve as VP of Brotherhood & Service while Creachbaum will act as VP of Judicial Affairs & Risk Management
